The most unfortunate thing simply happened yesterday. Apparently because of a customer's complain of Lau's black finger nails, he got fired. And they say its simply to protect the company's 形象..
I don't have the power to do can I? But one thing, never ever tick the customer off right in their face. As Yang told me, there's three rules when doing sales:
1)The customer is always right.
2)Even if the customer is wrong, he is still right.
3)No need talk back to customers, because even if hes wrong, hes still right and you are still at fault.
And luckily I have the habit of ranting about customers only after they have left. This is how life is.
Here's my thoughts,
Life may be tough, but we all still have to live it don't we? Yesterday may have been an unlucky day for Lau, for if he didn't have those black nails, he probably wouldn't have been fired. Xmas just passed not long ago, and 2009's coming. Friend. Simply walk on into the future and leave the shards of memories behind.

Exhausting day. Oh god I didn't even get the time to have lunch. Business was so overwhelming today such that customers kept pouring in without stopping from around 10am to 4pm.
YES. Another record breaker. S$9.6k worth of sales today. With me cashiering more than 80% of the sales. God help me.
I feel like asking her out on Christmas Eve, but I guess she really needs all the rest she could get during those two days of holiday. =/
What can I say?
Somehow I feel that being caring for someone is just not enough. After all Actions speaks louder than words.
Her job sure is tough.
Guilt overwhelms me..

Today was basically a Hell of a day. Secondary One orientation really IS busy. We had to get to the school by 7.00am, which sucks for me because the traveling time for me from my house to the school is actually 45 minutes, which means I had to get onto the bus by 6.15am.
And it all started at 8.30am, when parents and their children started pouring in and buying their textbooks. Fortunately for me I was actually put in charge as cashier IN the shop. And luckily, all Secondary One books and stuff are to be brought at the booths outside, which means I got practically nothing to do...not.
I was seriously expecting myself to be slacking and enjoying myself today, but unfortunately that did not happen. There were actually lots of parents which came into the shop to ask about these and that, and I had to entertain them all. There were even some who took the books from outside the booths and come INTO the store to pay them. Because they are lazy to Queue. Oh my god.
This is the root of the problems which occurred today: 1) Socks and Badges aren't shown explicitly in the stationary set. 2) New School PE T-Shirt for Secondary One students are not ready for selling yet. 3) Not enough $10 and $5 notes for exchange.
And the results of these problems --> 1) Lots of parents started coming into the store and ask me the same question: Do you sell socks and badges here?
And I would answer, Yes. But however if you already purchased the stationary set you would not need to buy socks and badges anymore. Why? Because there's already 2 pairs of socks and 1 badge included in the stationary set.
Reactions? 1) Ok, thanks. They walk out of the shop. 2) Uhh, its ok. I want to buy extra pairs of socks and extra badges. And so they start grabbing socks from me, and I have to cater to their payment.
As a result, I've been busy selling socks and badges from around 9.00am to 12noon. And its really BORING to answer the same questions again and again.
2) Parents started coming into the shop and say: Do you sell School PE T-Shirt here. And my answer would be NO.
And they will say, but the uniform vendor told me to get it here.. WTH!?
After that I would have to waste another mouthful of saliva to explain to them about the new school PE T-Shirt. Explaining to them that the PE T-Shirt is in no way linked to Popular Book Co. PTE LTD, and that its sold by an external vendor.
3) Mei Hua Auntie(JieJie - Whatever, she looks too young for an Auntie) keep coming into the shop to exchange 50 dollar notes for smaller notes, like $10, $5 or coins. But there isn't enough. This results in me to take out all the bloody $10 and $5 notes I have in my cash register, and exchange them for $50 notes.
As a result, I do not have anymore $10 and $5 in the store. And when customers need change like $33, I have to give them in $2 notes. Troublesome eh?
Auntie Jennifer today is as 'Gan Jiong' as usual, with her style of doing things in a very flustered and unorganised manner, but luckily everything turned out quite well, although the sales aren't as good as last year.
Gotta work tomorrow too. Lets hope my Throat which has not yet recovered can still 'tahan' for another day.
Fantastic Day it was, I wonder how would tomorrow be like.

Thursday, December 18, 2008 ~
Finally I have some time to update. For the past few days (14 Dec - Currently) I've been not feeling well. Having the usual illnesses:- Fever, Sore Throat, Flu. It really sucks though, since I attempted to continue working despite being sick, and I didn't go and see a doctor.
And so I ended up not working for today, because apparently I have not yet fully recovered, and tomorrow's Secondary One Orientation, which I die die must go, and so.. I decided to take one day off today.
Lots of stuff happened during this week, I guess.
First thing which I encountered this week was relationship problems. Not for me of course, but for a friend of mine. Her story was rather tragic, and I must say the guy who actually dumped her must seriously be some loser.
A quick summary of her story would be this. She got dumped by this 18 year old guy 3 times in a row, and she wants to die. She's currently only 14, and she doesn't know what to do. Ah well, I simply told her that there's no need to die for someone like that, but shes still got the 'want to die' feeling.
Getting dumped 3 times in a row only meant one thing. That guy was a bloody bitch/loser and shes simply obsessed with him. I guess that can serve as a experience for her future relationships..
I have no idea why, but I think I might have gotten rather used to working already. Staying at home and doing nothing really seems weird to me. I guess working and earning some cash is simply way better than rotting at home? I hate taking anti-biotic medicine, but thats probably what the doctor would give me when I go to the clinic later..
Secondary One Orientation tomorrow, wonder how busy would we be >.>

Gifts. Why do people reject them?
I just don't get why people reject job opportunities that are given to them right in their face. Although I'm not necessarily saying that I should 'force' them to work or something, but giving the excuse of - 'working place too far from home' really just piss me off. Its not even a valid reason. You think I live god damn near to the working place? Do you know that even I must travel for at least 1 hour everyday to work?
Doesn't matter, since people just do not treasure opportunities given to them.
I'm just disgusted by attitudes of some people with regards to working.

Today no work. Hurray! Finally got some 'more' time to relax. Went Dota-ing with Halson and Xian, and I went trying out Pudge, a hero which I always disliked. Things did screwed up at times, but oh well. ITS JUST A GAME!

Someday the inversed butterfly will face the light I cut my hair with you in the mirror The hallways while class is in session; the echoing sound of footsteps The sound of the ceaseless rain follows
While I feel it, the figure is blinding It'll become a sweet flower; it'll become a poisonous fruit, too Today it's raining again; I want to be connected to that person Through his sky and my sky now
In this Craziness, Uncertainty I wonder if we can leave behind each and everyone's thoughts somewhere In this Craziness, You gave me life I wonder to how far can we protect a single thought
You remember, inversed butterfly The exchange of mail unending Even if I'm set adrift, I should swim The ceaseless voices of people are like waves
While I believe it, the spreading melody A gentle rhythm that seems to start weeping It's always raining; the present continues into the future Or so I want to think
In this Craziness, Uncertainty I wonder if we can leave behind each and everyone's figures somewhere In this Craziness, You gave me life I wonder to how far can we protect their respective figures
Hey, feelings that can't be told in words exist No matter to how far people stretch out their hands A place that they can't reach exists inside of people Because I like each and everyone's soundless thoughts Even if I don't become something, I remain unchanged on any day

How I miss the relaxing days of Primary School..
Talked to Jennie today. And we found out that throughout the primary school years, we've only been in the same class for 2 years.
I miss MR FOO brush his teeth in the boys toilet!
================================================
Sales was bad today. Not much people came, but still we had lots of stuff to do. It really makes me wonder why sometimes.
Basically today was Stick-The-Bloody-Barcode day. Socks. Books. Cards-For-CashierNoobs for Sec 1 Orientation. It was boring.
My brother is now really insane. He got sick of DotA, and went anime-crazed.
He started with bleach. Episode 1 to 197 took around 2 weeks+. Then he went for Naruta and Naruto Shipp.
And now hes going for the Ultimate. One Piece. Over 400+ episodes. I wonder how long will it take for him to finish. Hmm..

Oh yea I get to blow Air-Con today. I simply spent the whole day in the shop and it was a bloody busy day as usual.
Whenever I'm put in the shop, there would be always a bloody bunch of customers. Weird? The worst thing about it is that they don't come in one by one. They come together. So at around 1pm today, around 5 of them walk in together all wanting to buy books, and with one cashier, things got cramped up pretty badly.
Got to enjoy eye-candies today, saw a damm cute girl who is going to study at PHS next year with her Kiasu mom who wanted to buy her uniform and skirt beforehand to avoid long queues during orientation which falls on 19 December. Lets hope no one gets jealous.
And this funny thing happened. She wanted Size 15 Shirt, and it was out of stock and we only had Size 16, so it was too big. Next she wanted Size 27 Skirt, but we only got 26 and 28, which is either too big or small. Thats too much of a coincidence.
===================================
I heard Rey's complain today about some Suntec Bitch. Felt really emo after hearing it. Not long ago I just heard Zhong Han sort of lost his job either temporarily/permanently at Nanyang Girls. And now Rey.
So this was the story. This bitch which opens a job at Suntec asked for Part-Timers. And they probably didn't give the number of people which they were planning to hire, I guess. And so when Rey went there, the bitch simply threw them something like packaging and asked them to complete it in 1 hour. And they did it so fast, they completed it in 30 minutes. After that, she simply said that they did a wonderful job, and since they do things so fast, she wouldn't need so much people. And she started kicking people out using her finger a.k.a pointing system. Whats more those who got pointed out didn't even get a the half-an-hour pay. Unfortunately, Rey was one of those who got the middle finger.
Although its just half-an-hour, they should still get paid right? What about the amount of money and time spent to getting to Suntec? And the effort put into working into that half an hour? You can't simply just say that "I don't need this much people" and start kicking out people. If that was the case, I would hire excess people for a job and then kick the extras out without paying. Retarded? I sense Student Exploitation.
Financial Assistance people started pouring in today. God Save us.
Yea Bleach 197 is out, and I guess I should go watch the raw, Cya guys around.

Youtube Goes High Definition Widescreen.
Thats good news for people like me, I guess, where I can simply watch anime which are not removed by Youtube without the trouble to downloading them.
Heres a preview of the God-Like Quality of the High Definition:-
Gundam 00 Second Season Opening One ===================================
There's some 'constraints' to the high definition mode though, whereby the video must be at least 1280x780 in resolution, and the '&fmt=22' must be appended at the back of the video link.

02 December 2008,
More packaging to go. I just finished my 160 package - Sec 1E Textbook.
Tomorrow people with financial assistance will be arriving. No more time to have lunch, Auntie says.
She just loves eating doesn't she.

Monday, December 01, 2008 ~
Today was a busy day for me, and I guess I would be equally busy for the rest for the week as well.
We started with the packaging for the Secondary 1 Orientation which would fall on 19 December 2008, where on that day itself there would be more than 300 pre-Sec 1 students making their purchases for their books.
And so, I was put in charge of packaging the Sec 1E Textbooks, where one package would include 18 books, put into the plastic folder of 16 x 24 in this order from the back:
-Discovering Mathematics 1A -Discovering Mathematics 1B -Science Matters Volume A Textbook -Science Matters Volume A Workbook -Science Matters Volume A Practical Book -Science Matters Volume B Textbook -Science Matters Volume B Workbook -Science Matters volume B Practical Book -Living the past(Or something) Textbook -Living the past Workbook -Earth Our Home 1 -Earth Our Home 1 Workbook -Teenlife 1 Textbook -Teenlife 1 Workbook -Design for Life 1 Textbook -Vocabulary and Comprehension 1 -PHS Song Book -Friedrich (Literature)
Thats the lot, and in one day I managed to complete 120 packages, which Lau said was insane because they only need 160 by 18 December, and i completed more than half in one day. Tomorrow Me and Lau will be doing the packing together, where I'm gonna finish the rest of the 1E Textbook packages, while he will be doing the Art packages.
To think that our hard work are wasted on some Sec 1 Brat.
